Trials of the Breach Update - Part 1

The Nayema Update

 It's certainly been a while! I do apologize for the delay, many things happened in real life and this patch also ended up being trickier than expected, but I'm extremely happy with the result!

First off, I'm happy to welcome Nayema to the guild's roster. Nayema is a spellcaster who uses astral powers. Mechanically, she switches between 3 different stances and uses a combination of Wits, Mana Boost, Burn and Spells to vanquish her foes!

I've also added skins for every character! On mobile, those can be purchased with a brand new gems currency. On PC, they'll cost gold.

The Idol of Emptiness has joined the Shrine's Pantheon. Be careful of what lurks in the depths between the stars.

The other major additions are the achievements and the cross-platform cloud saving! I've also done a balance pass on many items and cards.

What's New?

- Each character now has purchaseable skins!
   o Unfortunately, saved colors for all characters were reverted back to default
- (Mobile Only) The Gems currency was added to the game; you can use it to purchase skins, cardbacks and some heroes
   o Gems can be earned slowly during runs
   o Some in-app-purchase packages now give gems; you will be awarded the corresponding amount of gems if you had purchased those packages
   o The last 4 heroes will be purchaseable with gems (Paladin, Shah'Ru, Nayema and the final hero)
   o Paladin and Shah'Ru will remain gold heroes for existing players


Character Changes

- Silan finally found his scarf
- Mirley has been reworked

    o Hidden can now stack and ticks down by 1 at the beginning of each turn in addition to its current functionality

    o Most Mirley cards were changed

    o Mirley's passives were changed


Additions

- Added 24 new Generic cards

- Added 12 new weapons, 10 new outfits, 15 new accessories and 23 new trinkets


Item Changes

Buff & Debuff Changes

- Empower has been removed from the game
- Dispel now reduces buff ranks by 10% (minimum 1)
- Cleanse now reduces debuff ranks by 20% (down from 25%)
- Corrupt now reads: "Trigger Doom and all damaging debuffs. Increase the rank of all non-damaging debuffs by 1."
- Doom now reads: "Gain Curse (1) when you lose a rank of Doom. Take 50 fixed damage when this effect expires."
- Fatigue is no longer reduced at all during Frenzy
- Arcane, Frost and Shock runes now apply 15% of damage dealt as status (Minimum: 1)
- Envenom now reads: Your attacks apply 100% of damage dealt as Poison. You deal half damage.
- Each Frail rank now affects an entire Lifesteal attack rather than only 1 hit
- Critical Chance over 100% is converted into Critical Damage
- Whiteflame now ticks down at the end of turn instead of beginning
- Stasis card will now leave the discard pile at the beginning of your turn AND when you shuffle your deck
- Whiteflame's damage was reduced to 4, and its buff is now 4% per rank
- Opportunist, when triggered, will now be reduced by 1 to 3 ranks, depending on the combat size of the monster


Card Changes

- Reduced the "cost" of the permanent Powerful effect and cards that gave Powerful were buffed as a result
- Many Spells were changed so that they were more synergistic
- Summon cards were buffed
- Poison cards were buffed
- All cards that can draw themselves from the deck (Pocket cards for example) will now only draw a single copy. Most were slightly buffed to compensate.
- Some cards that felt under/over-powered were adjusted


Monster Changes

- Slightly buffed Daama Broodmother
- Buffed Warbot Annihilator

- Slightly nerged Slige


Misc

- Increased zoomed-in card sizes for the decklist and deck editor
- Added a tooltip for cards triggering buffs and debuffs
- Added next move icons for "Area Support" and "Area Disruption"


Bug Fixes

- Fixed an issue where using 2 fingers on screen could hide cards
- Triggering enemy actions will now properly remove "Removed" enemy actions
- Fixed a few issues related to combat buffs you could get from resting and events
- Fixed an issue where Max HP gains were not always properly affected by % modifiers to max hp
- Fixed an issue where triggering Wits counted double for Fatigue
- Fixed an issue where events could bring you to 0 health
- Fixed an issue where buffs and debuffs would stop updating visually once you had more than 18 shown
